IBPS Specialist Officers Selection Process Details: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is developing a Common Recruitment Process (CRP) to hire professional officers in various fields such as IT, Agriculture, Law, Marketing, HR and -Rashtrabhasha Adhikari, etc at various Public Sector banks. . Details of the process for selecting an IBPS official are provided below…
Selection Process: IBPS will conduct the General Employment Process in two phases – Standard Written Assessment and General Discussion.
General Written Testing: Testing will include Prelims & Mains. There will be a negative 0.25 mark of the marks given for that question.
i. Preliminary Test: This Test contains 150 questions with 125 marks over a 2-hour period.
ii. Main Test:
In lieu of Legal Officer, IT Officer, Agricultural Officer, HR Officer / Personnel Officer, and Sales Officer: Professional Information Test contains 60 questions with 60 marks over 45 minutes.

Ordinary Dialogue: Students who are shortlisted for the CRP SPL exams will later be invited to a Discussion conducted by the Participating Organization and coordinated by nodal banks in each State / UT with the assistance of IBPS. A total of 100 marks were allocated for the Interview. The minimum marks required for an interview will not be less than 40% (35% of SC / ST / OBC / PWD students). Online CWE (test) weight (test) and interview will be 80:20. The final aggregated points will be achieved on the basis of the total points obtained by the candidate in the CRP (SPL) and the Interview. Interview school for students who fail to obtain the appropriate minimum marks or are barred from further interviews or procedures will not be disclosed.
Interim Assignment: At the completion of the interview process, it is based on the vacancies to be filled during the 2018-19 financial year based on the business needs of the Participatory Organization and as reported in the IBPS, shortlisted candidates will be temporarily allocated to another Participatory Organization. Interim allocations will be made on the basis of the final posts reported by the participating organizations. Candidates should not apply for a vacancy as a last resort. IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel and redistribute the Organized Wise Distribution depending on emergencies or otherwise. The award of nomination is a decision of the participating parties only and will be final and binding. IBPS has no role here.

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

II. Punishment for Wrong Answers (Applies to both – initial and primary tests): There will be a penalty for incorrect answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question given which is not one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks awarded for that question will be deducted as a penalty to achieve the correct points. If a question is left blank, i.e. no candidate has commented on it, there will be no penalty for that question.
III. Cutoff Score: (Online Main Examination): Each person will be required to score a small score in the Online Main exam and defend the score high enough to be considered as shortlisted for the interview. Depending on the number of vacancies, the vacancies will be determined and the candidates will be shortlisted for discussion. Prior to the completion of the interview process, the points obtained from the Main Online Examination will not be shared with the shortlisted candidates.
IV. Points: Corrected points obtained by each of the candidates at different times (if held) will be made normal using the equi-percentile method. Points up to two decimals will be taken for calculation purposes.
V. Marks obtained from the Main Online Examination only will be considered for Short Interviews and final qualifying.
C. Interview: Students who are shortlisted for the CRP SPL-VIII Online Main Examination will then be invited to a Discussion. A total of 100 marks were allocated for the Interview. The minimum marks required for an interview will not be less than 40% (35% of SC / ST / OBC / PWD students). The applicant must be eligible for both Online Main Examination and the interview and be high enough to be included in the shortlist for the next temporary allocation process.
