Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are recruited every year through a Common Recruitment Process (CRP), commonly known as IBPS PO Exam. CRP was started in 2011 and is being conducted for the 11th time this year and hence officially called IBPS PO/MT CRP XI 2021. The IBPS PO selection process consists of 3 stages (Preliminary, Main, and Interview) and the candidate has to qualify each of them to proceed to the next stage. Mentioned below are the important steps of the IBPS PO recruitment process:
•Online Preliminary Exam:
A sufficient number of candidates in each category are shortlisted by IBPS on the basis of requirements for the Online Main Examination
•Online Main Examination:
To be eligible for the interview candidates have to qualify the sectional as well as the overall cutoff in the main exam.
•Interview:
The interview will be conducted by the participating organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/UT with the help of IBPS.
•Final result:
The final result is declared on the basis of the combined performance of the candidates in IBPS PO Mains and Interview round.
• Provisional Allotment:
The provisional allotment of the qualified candidates has been released on the official website. IBPS Banks are allotted based on the preferences of the candidates which are made at the time of online application.
IBPS only plays its role in the selection process till the provisional allotment to various banks. After that, it is the responsibility of the respective banks to inform the eligible candidates about their joining dates and procedures.

IBPS PO 2021 Test Pattern
IBPS introduced a separate phase classification for each phase in the first test. The IBPS PO (CRP XI) test for baptismal candidates will be based on two online written tests: Tier 1 or IBPS Preliminary Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Mains Exam. This test is followed by a face-to-face interview process.
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern
The first IBPS PO test has a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes in each phase, which will be done in online mode. It contains 3 sections with a total of 100 questions and a maximum of 100 marks. There is a negative mark on the pre-IBPS PO test and 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer. Applicants must remove the cutout in all 3 categories in order to obtain the IBPS PO Main exam. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by. An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.
IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern
The Main Examination is conducted online, consisting of 5 sections (4 + 1) with a total score of 200 + 25 marks and a duration of 180 + 30 minutes. Probationary Officer. The candidate must cancel the initial and first examinations in order to be eligible for the interview process.

Interview
Nominees eligible for the mains test are called for a face-to-face interview with 100 marks. The minimum marks eligible for the interview are 40% (35% of SC / ST / OBC / PWD students).
The interview cycle is usually 15-20 minutes long, during which a team of bank officials asks questions about candidates, banking, current affairs, general awareness, etc. conversation.
The final eligibility list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the basic assessment and discussion. The final grade is calculated by IBPS with a weighted score given the primary test and interviewed at a rate of 80:20 respectively.
Final Countdown of Exam
The final score of the test is calculated with the following points in mind:
• The marks obtained on the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) will not be considered for final marks and are only for the Mains Exam (Tier-2).
• Applicants must be eligible for Section 2 and Interviews separately in order to qualify for final eligibility.
• The weight (average) of the Main exam and the final eligibility list interview will be 80:20 respectively.
• A total of 100 points are used for the final qualifying list for each category. Students with the highest level of qualification in each category are finally selected.
